The COVID pandemic has reminded us all of the things that really matter – our loved ones, our community, and the place that we call home. The past year has also reminded me why I chose to make my home in Stretford 17 years ago as I have discovered new friends amongst my neighbours, green spaces that I had never taken the time to really enjoy, and a fresh understanding of how much we can achieve when we work together. That powerful community force is needed more than ever as we emerge from the pandemic. We have an opportunity to build back better and a vote for the Green Party is a vote for positive change. Our three Green councillors have already made a huge difference on Trafford Council, from persuading representatives of all parties to recognise and act to mitigate the climate emergency to supporting local people with planning concerns and other issues that make a difference to their everyday lives. I would be honoured to join the growing Green team and serve the people of Stretford as your local councillor.
