Urmstom- Luciya Whyte

I have lived in Trafford for the last 15 years, the last 5 in Urmston.  I am from a nursing background, having worked at St Marys Hospital in Manchester for the last 17 years.  Recently I have seen services dismantled and moved out of the area, this has directly affected the women of Trafford.  It is imperative that we have the right health services delivered in the right areas which continue to be run by the public sector.

I am also a keen cyclist so have first-hand experience of the difficulties cyclist encounter in the area, the roads should be safe for everyone to use.  The pop up cycle lanes that were installed at the beginning of the pandemic were a great addition and got so many more people out and about on their bikes, it was so nice to be able to hear the birds singing above the usual sound of heavy traffic.

Encouraging others to change the way they commute will reduce the amount of pollution, encourage healthy living and make our roads safer and will only be possible with the vision of the Green Party.

It is vital that we all find ways to ensure we all live sustainably, protecting our environment and making our town healthy places to live.  The Green Party’s values are based on our economic, environmental and social wellbeing and offer us hope for the future.

Vote Green for a positive change for our planet and to protect the future generations.
