Altrincham teenager Eleanor Horner introduced a debate at Trafford Council this week. The Altrincham Grammar school girl collected over 600 signatures for a petition to improve a dangerous road crossing on her way to school. This allowed her to bring the petition to the full council for debate.
Eleanor made her case very eloquently and received a guarantee from the leader of the council to carry out a study of the crossing to see what action could be taken to make it safer.
