Hale Ward Green Party Candidate For Local Elections May 2nd 2024

Owain Sutton

I’m deeply grateful to the people of Hale for electing me alongside Jane and Hannah, removing two Tories and proving that Jane’s hard work previously had gained trust in the Green Party.

I’ve been involved with the core of the Green Party team in Trafford for almost a decade, helping get our first councillors elected in 2018 and the subsequent gains, including winning all 3 seats in Altrincham and Hale. We’ve proven how the Conservatives are no longer providing something appealing to voters, and that we are the credible alternative option.

I work as a teaching assistant, supporting primary school children with disabilities and additional needs. This generation of children have already faced huge challenges, and the inequalities in society have had a massive impact on the most vulnerable and least fortunate.

For me, the heart of the Green Party is the interconnection between social, economic and environmental fairness. This should be reflected in all decisions and actions by our elected representatives. Every issue on the ground, no matter how small, is one piece of that jigsaw, and I hope to continue being a part of that bigger picture.
